Preparing for Summer

So it may not look like it but I can promise you that summer is on its way. The weather outside is rubbish but lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for better weather. As far as I am concerned June is officially the start of summer and by looking at the calender I can say it's not too far from here. Not far at all!
For summer we need to be prepared wether it is for protection, looking good or what we might need for certain stuff.

1. Sun Cream
Alot of parents usually nag about this and I guess I never realised how important it was till I got burnt on my shoulders a few years back. More than likley I had been burnt before then but it was the time I rememember most as my back was hurting and I couldn't sleep plus I was on holiday and it kinda ruined my time.

The Sun Cream I recommend is  Malibu Protective Sun Lotion 200ml SPF15
I know that alot of people don't wear sun screen because they care more for the fact that they want a tan than protecting their skin but sun burn hutrts and you could regret it afterwards. Its only £2.99 from Superdrug and it comes in SPF6, SPF10, SPF15 and SPF20, all for the same price.
Higher SPF is recommend for hotter countries so if you are going on holiday then it might be a good idea to bring a higher SPF.

A Sun Hat.
I personally hate sunhats and never wear them so I guess I am going against my rules. I might sound stupid if this isn't true but I think it protects your head from burning and also shades your eyes. Sun hats don't always look dorky unless your me, so be safe and use them, don't take any risks.
The hat I've chosen is just a common baseball hat from Claire's. I never really know what to look for when it comes down to hats because I don't wear them and don't like them so if you don't it's fine, your not alone! :)
This hat is £7.00 and comes in more than one colour so if you like it you should check them out!

3. Sunglasses.

As well as making you look nice they protect your eyes and I seriously love them!! They are obviously a major fashion statment and they are the things I probably love most of and own most of. There are soo many to chose from, I just love theese things sooo much!!
I've chosen two pairs as I love them both. Recently I did a sunglasses post but I have decided not to use any I used in there as I don't want to be repeating myself and want to give you more options incase any arn't right.

I think these first glasses are quite cool! They are Fun Print Retro Sunglasses for only £7.00 again from Claire's. I like the colours and they remind me of the dip dye/ombre type thing. The colours are also bright which I think suits great with summer as usually thats what it's all about. Obviously they do their job too and thats kind of all you need.

I really love these Aviator Glasses again for Claire's and for the same price of £7.00 (Is that all Claire's ever charge?) They are cute but as wierd as It could sound I'm not defenite that I have ever worn Aviator Sunglasses before which means they might not suit me. However I've seen loads of people with these including the youtuber Stilababe09 and I think they are good. None of the glasses at Claire's are expensive and again they do their job. I guess thats all that matters.

4. Swimsuits

Now these are practically vital at summer and need to be mentioned as I would be suprised if you didn't use one at least once. I quite like these in so many ways as they give you a good figure and allow you chance to catch tan from your legs, arms etc. I am a thin person, anybody can tell you that, but I dont always like my stomach or anything because I feel I'm just too thin. Thats why I wear swinsuits more than bikini's but I'd be lying if I said I didn't wear bikini's alot too.

You can get anything from a swimsuit, bikini, tankini and maybe even more (although tbh I think thats it) but I'm going to show you a swim suit and give you chance to find your own of the others if you like.
So this is actually the one I bought and I quite like it. The shape is nice and it also has tummy control if you need it. I like the colour and the pattern. It is called the Pink Twist Draped Bandeau Swimsuit. I just think it's cute and I like the colour (and they had my size). You can get it for £15 from Sainsburys (which you might find wierd but I was passing to go to the loo's and I had been look for one for ages so I got my mum to buy me it ;) Coz I can't aford it but wtf) and now I am happy I have it. They actually have a few nice ones from Sainsburys which may seem suprrisingly as it isn't really a main clothes shop to go to but they are quite nice.
I am sorry this was along post but I love writing them and congrats to us for our 50th post! I hope you liked it and stay safe this summer!!

Summer Vacation Wish-list: France

So basically in a few weeks I am going to France (eee) with my school and a few of my friends are coming! I am so excited and I don't have much summer clothes that fit me no more. Luckily, I am going shopping this weekend with Jane and my African gurl (<3) to get these clothes and more xx
I can't remember the order of the photos while I'm writing this as my phone can't do 2 at once so I'm sure you'll pick it up.
I'm going to start with 3 of the photos as they are all linked. The photo of somebody wearing a white long vestand floral shorts inspired me to get them both as the model looks super hot on the Matalan website (I'm not a lez, but seriously!) and I hoped I'd look like her if I wore the same (won't happen) so I am getting the floral leggings for £8.00 at Matalan and the long vest top from New Look for only £3.99! Obviously it will be hot there but I think these will be comfortable to travel in as we are traveling from about 11.00 in the morning to 3.00 the next morning on the coach and then sleeping on a ferry.  I also think they will look good with Primark converse so Ima buy them too but because Primark has no website I'll have to look in store.

Time to get to the summery stuff. I don't have EVERYTHING planned out and am taking extra money for If I see something but I do still have some stuff that fits, therefore I'm not getting too many.

I'll start off with the skater skirts. If I'm being honest I wasn't actually look for one but I fell in love with the Light Blue Button Up Demin Look Skater Skirt and will be buying it for only £16.99 which isn't too expensive.
I am also going to buy a black Daisy Belted Playsuit as it's cute and I love these so much. It's at the price of £19.99.
Finally I will be buying Non Slip Sandal Tan Tights probably not for my holiday but because all my others have holes in.

That concludes my wish list. When the clothes are bought I promise to do a haul video on our channel: Msbeautyinthemakingx but for now ty and ily

Revlon Lip Butters or Maybeline Lipsticks?

These 2 are really similar and I wanted to give my opinion on which Is better. They are the products people having raving on about for a while now and you might want to know what and what not to get

Both if the Lipsticks are really good anyway but one is better than the other so I'm going to tell you which one I'm 2 ways.

Under packaging I think the Maybelline lipsticks look better. They look posh and have different coloured covers depending on the colour of lipstick. Everybody says don't judge a book by its cover but let's be honest we all do and that's why I bought this first instead a Revlon Lip Butter which is what I came for.

However the actual lipstick itself helps Revlon because they are much more pigmented and I think the colours look nicer! I don't actually own one but I borrow my cousins a lot so I know what I'll be buying next time I need a lipstick
Hope this helped you and check out our YouTube channel

Everyday and school hairstyles

So I titled it everyday and school because the hairstyles I'll be showing will be easy to wear on a everyday basis or if your just plainly finding trouble with what to do with your hair. So everyone hates bad hair days especially when it's school as your sometimes in a rush and have no time to maybe curl or straighten your hair. So here are just some hairstyles that would be quick and easy to do whenever and wherever, and look great for school.
First one is a braid. Now there's lots of different braids that can be done such as a normal 3 piece braid or a French plait but my pick is the fish tail plait. At first it might look hard to do but trust me with enough practise you will be amazing! There's lots of tutorials out there too if your struggling to get the hang of it.
I love this hairstyle as it goes with any hair type and the best thing is that you can make it look messy on purpose as it gives the style more of an edge to the look.
Next hair style is the messy bun. I love this look as its cute and very easy to do especially when you have shoulder length hair. All you need to do is tie it in a normal ponytail and twist you hair round and keep hold with some bobby pins. You can always decorate your look as well with a bow clip or a headband too. And remember it doesn't matter if its not perfect as it gives it more of a edge. Putting a headband on can also save a hair day disaster.
Next one is a concealed ponytail. I really like this look as it makes your pony tail look less boring. All it is a ponytail with a peice of hair wrapped round your bobble and you secure it with bobby pins. It takes literally 5 mins to do but looks more nicer! So you should really have a go at this one as it looks pretty and classy at the same time. You can also put it to the side hanging down over your shoulder rather than a high ponytail but its totally your choice.
My last one is the fake blow dry look! This will only take a few minuets as its probably the quickest to do put of all of them. So what you do is after prepping your hair with a heat protectant, quickly  blow dry your hair so that your hair is only a little damp. Then, wrap your hair into a bun and secure it down with one or two bobby pins. While on your way to school or work, leave it in, then once you’ve arrived, take out the bun and shake your hair out. This will give you a blow-dried look with minimal effort. The higher the bun, the more volume your hair will have, the lower the bun, the less.
Or you can use salt spray which works really well too and gives the same effect.

FOTD: Face Of The Day

Hey Guys! I decided to do something that we haven't done before and when I don't know what to do posts on I sometimes look Idea's up. Remember though, If you ever have any  idea's or requests for blog posts or videos then comment below as we read and respond to all comments <3

So I found this on a website and I am going to show you a before and after and telling you what I have used in between :) I hope you like it and that it will help you if you want one of these products.
All can be found at Superdrug and probably Boots too!
Before:

So this is my photo before. I'm not going into detail about each product but here is what I used (In order):
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation (Light Nude 102)
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer
Rimmel London Match Perfection Ultra Creamy Compact Powder (103 True Ivory)
ColourWorks London Eyeshadow Palette (Black used for eyeliner)
Rimmel London Glam Eyes Mascara

MUA Eyeshadow Trio (brush used for the eyeliner)
Miss Sporty Perfect Colour Lipstick (038 I love)

Miss Sporty Dr Balm Glam Kiss SOS with Royal Jelly (2)

After:
Obviously for the foundation, Concealer and compact powder the colours could be different for you so don't do what I did if you have a different skin tone.
I suggest using testers on the back of your hand if your thinking of buying one and checking which one more closely matches.
For the lipsticks you can wear any colour you want however certain shades suit certain people. But don't be afraid to go all out there and try new  things out because Anything Can Happen :)!!

Budget makeup

On a budget don't sweat as I have some makeup picks that are really cheap and aren't too bad for the price your paying!
1. First is MUA lipsticks these are £1 and look like any other lipstick to be honest so you might as well get these! Amber also did a blog post on this lipstick brand so go check it out. They mainly have coral, pinky shades but are really nice. Some are more pigmented than others so I recommend you swatch first but apart from that there's nothing wrong with it. Some also have shimmer which is pretty.
2. Is the MUA blusher. This also is £1 and have really pretty shades such as rose pink and coral orange. I'm not quite sure but they could be slightly powdery as there cheaper but it's always good to swatch first anyway. I think the pinks are really pretty and can be picked up from SuperDrug. I recommend you buy this product if you use makeup for your first time or you just simply just trying out new looks or even practising.
3. Three is the MUA nail polishes. These two are £1 and have clear, and also bright colours to choose from which is again a good budget item you could try out or test to see if the colour suits.
4. Four is the miss sporty concealers which can be picked up for about £1-£1.50. I have got this product so I can do a  review on it one day but for now all ill say about it is that it's worth it! There's vitamins and goes on well on skin. There's only three shades though so make sure you get the right one!
5. And last is 2 true lipgloss. These are £1.99 from SuperDrug also and have the most gorgeous shades ever! There pink with shimmer and don't look to gloopy either so it won't be as sticky. There's three ranges. There's the drench range, the crystal range, and the plumptuous range.
So there you go my top five budget makeup. Hoped you liked it and check out mine and Amber's channel!
Thanks xxx

Topshop makeup

So I'm going to be talking about topshops makeup range and everything about them. So topshop have a large range of makeup considering its a clothes shop not a makeup shop and I think have over time become more and more popular as they bring out new shades all the time. Makeup they sell are:
-lipsticks (from nudes,to corals, to dark tones)
-lipgloss or lip cream (similar to the lipstick shades)
-lip paint
-lip crayons

-lip liners
-lip balms
Next are:
-brow pencils (light to dark brown)
-liquid eyeliners (black, dark colours)
-eye shadow pallets (trios and singles are available)
-eyeshadow
-eye crayon
Face makeup:
-blush (cream)
-glow highlighters
-bronzers (natural glow)
-face wipes
And them finally they have:
-nail polish (lots of different shades it's just a matter of finding the right one for you!)
So there are just some of the makeup they have from quickly looking on the website. Obviously they will have more in the shops but you will probably get a better deal online. I'm not going to go in great detail as that would take me a long time but in my opinion I think the lipsticks, lip crayons, and nail polishes are the best from here. I think nail polishes are good because there is such a huge range of colours and go on very well and look amazing with two coats and a clear varnish over it. And I think lipsticks and lip crayons are good because zoella (from youtube) always buys them and I think one of her favourites is Brighton rock which is a really nice dark red colour. Zoella also has a favourites page/list on topshop that you can take a look at and the link will be in one of her videos. Prices range from £1.25-£16 pounds but lipsticks are £8 and nail polishes are £6. So I really think you should take a look as there's loads to choose from!

Forever 21: Love & Beauty

Forever 21 have a small makeup range called Love & Beauty and I wanted to show you what they have. I have never bought or used any of them but based on what I can see I am going to show you what they are.

The products of Love & Beauty that they have at Forever 21 are:
Love & Beauty Sparkling Lip Gloss
High Shine Lip Gloss
Lip Balm Trio
Shimmer Eyeshadow Compact

There are 22 colours for the Sparkling Lip Gloss and they go from thr Palest pink, the brightest red and the nudest brown.
They look really nice, the colours are pretty but It looks like it could be really gooey which I don't like when it is too gooey and sticky. That sounds rude but I dont mean it like that!!
They are only £1.65 each which could either mean they are really cheap and good quality or cheap and crap quality.

I might do a review on this one day to tell you what I think and remind you about this blogpost.

The Trio lip balms come in 2 different sets. Both have a range of colours but you may prefer one set to another depending on the colours of makup you wear and what you are into.
I think these are quite cute and each colour comes in a small pot. Obviously there are 3 but compared to the single lipgloss they are more average priced with similar proces to big brands but that may just be my opinion.
They are £5.65 for 1 Trio and I think maybe they could be worth the price I won't be doing a video on it but it sounds like the kind of thing you would have to try out first as you don't hear alot about Forever 21's Beauty Range

There isn't too much to tell you about the High Ship Lip Gloss or the Eyeshadow Compact except that each only come in one colour or so the website says. It shows that the High Shine Lip Gloss comes in a light pink and the eyeshadow comes in a dark grey-black with a hint of silver shimmer.

I think you should check these out and comment your opinion on them. I will do a review on the Sparkling Lipgloss oneday but I will have to purchase it first as the nearest store is an hour away

Forever 21: Monokini's

I know I have done one summer type post already but It is one of the things I am excited about as the weather (should) be getting better.
There are alot of things you need for summer and plenty of blog posts to do. I am doing this one on Monkini's and will do bikini's, tankini's another day.

I am obsessed with Monkini's as they are pretty and great for summer. I have chosen 3 I like from Forever 21, mainly because it's my favourite shop, to show you.

1. Sunset Graphic Monokini

I really love this monkini because of the colours. It's pretty and very tropical. It really suits the summer theme. I also love that it is strapless because if you get a tan they you wont have bikini/Strap  lines which can be annoying. I hope you can agree with me that this is a beautiful swimsuit and is only at the price of £19.90 which I feel is good for the quality

2. Abstract cutout Monkini

I really love this monokini because it's simple but nice. I really love the fact bits are cut out because I think It will look really good on you if you have a nice figure. The bright colours really show that summer is here (depending on when your going to wear it) and brights always make me think sun!! This one is only £16.90 which obviously cheaper than the other one. But I think I like the other one better because of the design and picture.
I do prefer the cutouts though because It works great for figures and I am quite thin but different people like different things which Is why I gave you three to look at.

3. Crocheted Cutout Monokini

If you want to look good in the summer then this one is it. You definetly have to have the right figure for this or it might not work. It's kind of a sexy monokini so it looks nice and is the kind of things you would see in beach or pool photoshoots. This is another monokini at the price of £19.90. Of course it depends on the kind of person you are. Wearing this one you will be showing alot of skin and should feel confident with your body before wearing it.

So overall I prefer the first one but we are all different and have different opinions.
Its totally up to you :)!

I heart love...

So as Amber started a beauty bargain of the week I'm also going to start a I heart love of the week. It's similar the the beauty bargain except its just what I have been keeping my eye out for a while and think are I really nice beauty essential or a must have. Some will be expensive some wont be it all depends anyway enough about that! So my I heart love today is the Revlon lip butters. I'm really liking the lip butters as they have a really nice colour range whereas there also quite pigmented considering there not lipsticks but there not lip balms of such. So you can pick up these gorgeous things from places like Boots or Superdrug for about £7.99 and now Boots have new shades available! There so pretty as they start from pink tones to more coral tones and they also have darker tones like red or dark purple so there is a great range to choose from. I'm not sure but I'm guessing they will smell incredible as they give there lip butters different names like raspberry pie and cotton candy. They leave your lips really soft, smooth and healthy looking.
So there was my I heart love hoped you liked it sorry it was kinda short check out our channel MsBeautyInTheMakingx

Sunnies

So soon summer should be coming and looking outside I can see the first ray of sunlight we've actually see all day in Preston.
It is usually raining all the time as it has been doing most of the day today but soon summer should (hopefully) be arriving. And if so we need to prepare.

One of my favourite accessories in the summer are sunnies and I always love a good pair. I have atleast 5 at the moment so I'm okay but some people might not have any which is why I shall suggest my favourites in store right now. ;)

1. Rubber Aviator Sunglasses
I love these glasses as they are the copy of the designer pairs you can get. You can buy these from Claire's for only £5.00 however I'm not sure wether they are actually rubber or plastic as personally I can't imagine rubber sunglasess? I have 2 pairs of them which are plasic in white and blue. They are my favourite plus Justin bieber owns the white ones apart from the fact he's are real.... Never the less I love them and they are very cheap!

2. Flip Flop Visors Sunglasses
I quite like these sunglasses because the design looks really nice but I've never really understood it.
If you put the cap down then you can't see which is pointless in a way because you can't see where you are going? Anyway they look nice and they sheild the sunner better even if I don't understand them I will be buying a pair and you should too. You can also get these from claires in pink and white from Claire's for £7.00 each.

3. Polka Dot Half Frame Sunglasses.
I love these because of how they look. The polka dots make them cute but not childish or something I or you wouldn't wear.
They also have only frame at the top which makes them look better and more stylish. I think that it's a good idea and they help your eyes like normal sunglasses. These are £15.00 from accessorize which I can admit are expensive but Accessorize products are good quality. If I am being really honest I wouldn't pay this much for sunglasses but some people might.

So that was my post on sunglasses as they are a must-have for Summer and hopefully it is on it's way.

Skater skirts

Hey! So today I'm going to be talking about skater skirts as I really think they are getting back in trend (if not already) and me and Amber have both seen some really nice ones around and about. Some affordable and some more on the pricey side. Skater skirts are great for the summer seasons especially coral colours and can be worn with almost anything (wholly jumpers, tucked in shirt, bandeau ect)
So the first shop I'm going to be talking about is Forever 21. Now I thought this shop was only in America however I was wrong as Amber went to Manchester Trafford centre the other day and saw some really nice ones round about £9 which is fairly cheap considering its for a skater skirt. Now I can't go in much detail as I wasn't actually there but Amber also said you can pick some up cheaper for £5 to £6 pounds which is amazing.
Next shop is Miss Selfridge. I went town with my sister a couple of weeks ago and saw some really nice skirts however its quite expensive in Miss selfridge so I have to save up before I can actually buy one but the good thing about this shop is that they give you a certain amount percent off on students at uni etc and they also have a petite range. I don't think there's much difference on the pricing with the petite and non petite range but I do know they go down to a size 4! Skater skirts there are around the £20 mark but have really nice patterns and they also have a great range there so go check them out!
Next is Primark and the reason why I lovePrimark  like I said already is because it's really cheap. I tried some on the same week I went to town and there actually fairly well made. They had a plain black, coral colours, and white with detailing. I'm not quite sure but I think they were around the £10 mark so there worth looking into!
Another place you could maybe go is Newlook or RiverIsland who have a good range of skater skirts but in my oppinion don't sell as many designs as Miss Selfridge or Forever 21 ect but I still think if you looked online you could propably get a good deal on some, and I think newlook are doing a sale at the moment with 60% off clothing teens or women's.
so there are just some ideas on some shops you could go checkout or investigate in hoped you enjoyed and also check out our channel MsBeautyInTheMakingx X x x

BBOTM/ Beauty Bargin Of The Month

Okay so Ive officially changed it to month because I don't do it every week and I'm not gonna lie to you. Again I have found a Beauty Bargin that I hope you all like.

Body Collection Eyeshadow Palette

So on Saturday I actually bought this myself as I had wanted it for quite a while. It's a very large palette with soo many colours and totally Irrestistable. Some ofthe colours arn't that well pigmented butnmost are and its worth buying at its price.
Which I'd happily announce is £4.99 at Bodycare.
Yeah I know a fiver!
